News Releases North American Beef Congress names new General Manager
"We're glad
to have Ryan as part of our team at the NABC," says board President Hicks joins the NABC after leaving his position as Account Manager at AdFarm - one of Canada's leading ag-based ad agencies - to assume the role of General Manager from Laurie Fisher who resigned from the NABC earlier this year. "Laurie worked hard with the board and its sponsors to get the NABC established and positioned as a high caliber event in the beef industry," says Anthony. "We're looking to Ryan to assist us in continuing the growth and success of the NABC - strengthening the value and opportunities for exchange and learning that the Congress provides." The NABC, established in 2004, is a not-for-profit corporation with purpose of promoting interest, interaction and education within the industry - for youth, producers, industry suppliers and those in the food industry relating to beef. The NABC features purebred and commercial shows and sales, a youth show, a collegiate culinary competition, industry exhibits and various other events of interest for beef producers and consumers alike. The North American Beef Congress is held at the Western Fair Agriplex, in London, Ontario, each year in late October.
