News Releases February 2005 North American Beef Congress Announces 2005 Dates The board of directors of the North American Beef Congress (NABC) recently announced the dates for the 2005 NABC on October 25-29 at Western Fair, London, Ontario. An educational, vertically integrated, agricultural show, focused specifically on the beef sector, the NABC's sole purpose is to offer both educational and promotional opportunities to the beef industry in North America. New features prepared for announcement at this time include the expansion of the Commercial. Show. Look for classes to include females, bulls, fed cattle and a carcass competition. The NABC will offer a Hereford show and a Hereford sale managed by T Bar C Cattle Company along with the addition of a Supreme Championship of purebred breeds to culminate on the final day. Visitors and exhibitors can expect to find a variety of high quality educational seminars pertaining to several sectors of the beef industry, a junior exhibitor heifer show, a trade show, several classes of commercial cattle, purebred sales and shows of Black Angus, Red Angus, Charolais, Hereford, Limousin and Simmental and culinary and butcher competitions and events. "The
success and enthusiasm after last year's premier show was humbling,"
states Laurie Fisher, spokesperson for the NABC. "We are growing
slowly, adding new events and breeds to include more people in the industry.
We hope producers and industry people think of the NABC as a meeting place
to exchange ideas, a commerce center to do business and an educational
venue."
