TOP MEADOW FARMS BRASS RING RISING CHEFS CHALLENGE

PRESS RELEASE
October 10, 2004

The delicious taste of Top Meadow Farms 'naturally raised' beef will be centre stage when twelve young culinary students, from four of Ontario's finest community colleges, compete at the first annual Top Meadow Farms Brass Ring Rising Chefs Challenge held during the North American Beef Congress. The competition is a highlight of the North American Beef Congress and will be held on Saturday October 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Agriplex Building at London's Western Fair.

Top Meadow Farms will present each of the students on the winning team with a $1000 educational scholarship. Second and third place prizes and People's Choice Award prize packages have been sponsored by All-Clad Cookware, MAC Knives Canada, and Ten Speed Press. Via Allegro, a leader in Toronto fine dining, helps to celebrate the competitors achievements by sponsoring competition chef jackets for all participants. All cooking equipment is being provided by Garland Commercial Ranges Ltd.

The public is welcome to the Top Meadow Farms Brass Ring Rising Chefs Challenge and can watch the experts cook. Fifty lucky audience members will vote on their favourite beef entree and present the People's Choice Award. The judging panel includes London chef extraordinaire, Chris Squires and Toronto celebrity chef, Lino Collevecchio from Via Allegro.

Join Master of Ceremonies, Michael P. Clive, host of WTN's Sizzle, as we celebrate great beef, good competition and plenty of collegial camaraderie.
